Questions people actually ask

Answered straight

Play the whole ride — the offers, the farewell, what comes after. The full college basketball career simulator runs every season against the real record book, so you finally see how your career actually reads.

What is the college basketball career simulator?

One college basketball life, played end to end in the browser: the spin deals you a real hoops-hotbed recruiting path, a program signs you, and the campus seasons run until the declaration call. Every year you post is thrown against the real Division I record book.

Can you play five years of college basketball?

Four playing seasons inside a five-year window is the real clock, and the redshirt year is how careers stretch across all five. The rail here runs the same way: sign, play the seasons out, and treat the final year as a genuine call — take it for another line of numbers, or declare and let the board weigh what is already on the card.

What is the most points anyone has scored in a college basketball career?

The Division I career record is 3,667 points — set across just three varsity seasons, in an era with no freshman eligibility and no three-point line — and a career as recent as 2023 finished three points short of it. Your totals are counted against that ladder, and nothing on it is scaled to flatter you.

Which position do you play?

Guard, every run. Lead-guard production owns the deepest standing rows anywhere in college basketball — 1,381 points and 406 assists in a single season — so it is the line where a simulated year can be held against marks somebody actually set.

How does Signing Day work in this game?

Your recruiting year builds the offer sheet, and on Signing Day one real program lands with its conference behind it. That choice sets the ceiling on everything after: a blue blood asks a freshman guard to fit in, a rebuild asks him to carry it, and March grades both answers.

Can I enter the transfer portal?

Yes — the mid-career decision is a live portal window. Other programs come with offers, and taking one moves the rest of the career to a new conference and a new standard; staying keeps the system that already runs through you. The record book takes the points either way.

Does March matter more than the regular season?

It decides what the season meant. Thirty-one games build the resume, but the tournament run is what the honors and the legacy read from — a deep March can lift an ordinary year, and an early exit can hang over a great one. That weighting is in the engine, not just the copy.

Is this like the old college basketball career modes?

If you remember taking one player from campus to the draft in the console era, this is that idea rebuilt for a browser tab — no disc, no roster file, nothing to install. The difference is the scoring: seasons here are graded against the real Division I record rows rather than a rating out of 99.

Can I win the national title and cut the nets?

The national title, the conference crown, All-America selection and national player of the year are all live, and none is handed over for attendance. They come out of where your seasons and your Marches actually land — which is why the program you sign with keeps mattering long after Signing Day.

What happens on draft night?

It closes the book rather than grading it — the college career is already scored by the time the green room opens. You choose to take the call or watch from home; the finished card keeps the campus years regardless.

Is it free, and do I need an account?

Free in the browser with nothing to install and no sign-up. The career lives in the page link itself — keep that link and the same recruiting spin, the same program and the same seasons come back exactly as you left them.

Is the 40-0 game on this site as well?

It is — the 40-0 game drafts an all-time college five and asks it to sweep the whole season, bracket included, where this page spends those same programs on one recruit at a time.

How long a career does the college basketball record hold?

The archive runs from 1942 to the current season, so a simulated career is measured against the real span of the sport.

What marks a great college basketball career in the record?

Consensus All-American, Wooden Award, Naismith College Player of the Year among them, accumulated across seasons rather than won once.

How rare is a hall-of-fame college basketball career?

273 figures hold membership across the sport's whole history.

Is a great college basketball career one huge season or many good ones?

Many. The record rewards a level sustained across seasons more than a single year at the top of it.

How does a college basketball career usually end?

Selection and availability decide it at least as often as decline does.

What is hardest to sustain across a full college basketball career?

Availability — the seasons a player misses shape a career record as much as the ones they play.

What happens where the college basketball record is thin?

The card shows what the record actually holds for that season, and a gap stays a gap rather than becoming an estimate.

Can a simulated college basketball career go badly?

Yes — the simulation follows the record's own shape, and the record is full of careers that did not arrive.
